Day 1
- Waterproofing
- Once the roof is checked for any leaks and susceptibility to plant root, the EPDM is fitted. Only our EPDM installers will come and fit this waterproof barrier. This involves no dangerous instruments such as blow torches and insures your roof for 50 years at the very least.
Day 2
- Nutrifoam
- Vegetation mats are laid quickly and easily directly onto the EPDM. Made from recycled cfc-soft foam, they are immediately ready to function as reservoirs of water and nutrients.
- Aggregate substrate
- 4cm of this highly porous, high performance substrate is laid directly onto the Nutrifoam. The aggregate is made from crushed recycled brick dried clay, pumice and crushed bark. It provides sufficient nutrients to give the plants ideal growing conditions.
- Sedum sprouts
- They arrive in a ready to sow mixture and can be sown at ant time of the year. These fast growing succulents will be established after two months and a dense mass of flowers by the next growing season.
