how is it made?

1. Sedum
Urban Lifetile sedum is grown in the UK to the highest standards. The rich variety of sedum species it is composed of will ensure a longer flowering life as well as a colourful and interesting appearance. It can be delivered to site as a fully grown system or sown on site from sprouts. This will very much depend on site conditions, location and the size of project.
2. Aggregate substrate
A layer of 4cm of this growing medium is spread over the Urban Lifemat for the sedum to develop in. The substrate contains recycled brick, bark and other organic matter to ensure the sedum receives sufficient nutrients and to provide ideal growing conditions. The aggregate has a minimum of 75% recycled content.
3. Urban Lifemat
The Urban Lifemat is made from cfc-free, reconstituted foam and is 90% recycled. It is nutrient enriched to assist in the development of the sedum root system.
4. Waterproof membrane
This key waterproof layer is dimensionally stable, will not split or crack, resists heat and cold, and is totally UV and ozone resistant.
